Check while cranking the engine is not warmed-up engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Connect the digital voltmeter probes to the battery terminals.
2. Make sure the parking brake is fully tightened. On vehicles with automatic transmission, set the selector lever to position PARK. On vehicles with a manual transmission, set the gear lever to the neutral position.
3. Make sure that all consumers of electricity are turned off.
4. Turn on the ignition and starter and observe a voltmeter.
5. If the voltage is lower than 9.6, remove the starter and perform bench tests. If a bench test gave a negative result, replace the starter.
6. If the voltage is higher than 9.6 V and the current consumption is below the required value, carry out checks on the voltage drop.
7. If the voltage shown by the voltmeter 12.5 V or more, and the starter does not work, check the efficiency of the traction relay.
8. If the voltage shown by the voltmeter 12.5 V or more, and the starter turns engine crankshaft slowly, inspect voltage drop.
