Tailgate



Tailgate

1 - the handle;
2 - door trim;
3 - lock cylinder;
4 - locking tailgate;
5 - shock plate;
6 - gas-filled strut supporting the rear door;
7 - joint;
8 - outer handle opening the door;

11 - activator lock the tailgate.

The tailgate is mounted on two hinges, welded to the body and bolted for the door.
Gas-filled strut help to open the tailgate and maintained in an open position.

The latch is attached to the center of the bottom of the tailgate. The user can adjust the position of the tailgate.

Profiled sealing strip, fixed on the cover door to prevent leakage between the door and body.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Open the tailgate.
3. Remove the O-ring in the center of the door to access the rear window washer hose.
4. Remove sprayer rear window washer and detach the hose.
5. Squeeze and release the latch connector hoses.
6. Remove the hose sprayer with hose connector.
7. Remove the hose spray.
8. Remove the lower trim of the tailgate.
9. Remove the side trim luggage.

10. Remove the bolt support belt and one screw securing the C-pillar trim.

11. When removing the pillar trim Disconnect the electrical connector.
12. Pull the cable harness through the hole in the tailgate, the bellows and the sealing ring.

A warning

When removing the gas-filled struts assistant should hold the door in the open position.


13. Support the tailgate in the open position.
14. Remove the two screws on gas-filled strut.
15. Turn out one bolt of fastening the door to the hinges on both sides of the door.

A warning

Removing the tailgate spend with two assistants.


16. Remove the remaining two screws to the door hinges.
17. Remove the tailgate from the vehicle.

Setting

Install the tailgate is carried out in reverse order of removal. Tighten bolts to torque hinges.

Torque: 16-24 N ??? m

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Measure the clearance of the tailgate in sections A-A and B-B shown in the figure.
If the gaps correspond to the required values, tighten the bolts to the hinge of the tailgate.
Otherwise, perform the following adjustments in the joints:

- Move forward or back door;
- Move the left or right side of the door;
- Turn the door clockwise or counterclockwise;
- Move the door in any combination of the above.

After adjusting tighten the hinge screws torque of 20 N ??? m
2. Re-measure the gaps tailgate, to make sure that the door is not moved while tightening the bolts.
3. Measure the gap between the tailgate and rear bumper. If the gap is too great, adjust it by moving the wedges apart. If the gap is too small, adjust it by moving the wedges together.
