Substitution coolant
As part of the maintenance of the coolant must be replaced regularly. See Chapter Introduction. | If the cooling liquid is discharged under repair, it should be collected, since it contains anti-freeze and anti-corrosion agents. When replacing the water pump, radiator, or the cylinder head coolant must be replaced. Only use proprietary liquid based on ethylene glycol. The concentrate should be consistent with aluminum elements. Do not use coolant alcohol-based. |
Draining | - Unscrew the cap on the radiator.
 | To remove the cover only when the radiator is cooled to a temperature of hands, otherwise there is a risk of scalding hot coolant. For safety, lay a cloth around the nipple. |
- Place a clean container under the radiator to collect the liquid.
| - Drain coolant from the radiator valves.
|
- Post a coolant to drain completely.
- Rinse the system with clean water until the water disappears contamination.
- Screw the drain plug on the radiator.
|
|
Pouring | - Adding coolant through the radiator hose.
- Fill coolant expansion tank up to the mark FULL. Replace the cover.
- Start the engine and let it run for 10 minutes at high speed. The engine should reach operating temperature, radiator fan should turn on. During the warm-up to watch the fluid level, if necessary top up.
- After cooling of the engine to check the fluid level in the expansion tank. If necessary, add a liquid to a mark "FULL".
- Check the tightness of the cooling system, especially the hose connections and the drain plug and the water pump.
