Check the cooling system

With the standard control unit may be leak check cooling system and operation of the safety valve in the screw cap of the cooling system.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Push the control panel on the expansion tank filler tube. Hand pump device an overpressure of about 1.4 bar. If the pressure drops, look for leaking place whence the coolant and eliminate looseness. If the pressure falls without signs of leakage coolant, or even increased, it is possible to assume loss of coolant inside the engine, for example, due to damage to the cylinder head gasket or a crack in the housing.

SAFETY VALVE PRESSURE

The relief valve is installed in the cover of the radiator. His task - from a certain overpressure, open the cooling system and thus create the conditions in the expansion tank draining excess amounts of coolant.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Screw in the control panel (1) screw cap of the radiator (2). Create overpressure. The safety valve should open at a pressure of 1.3-1.4 bar. Otherwise, replace the cover.

Vacuum valves

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Pull your fingers vacuum valve so that it opens. Check whether the valve closes when released. The vacuum valve is opened when the lid reduced pressure of 0.1 bar.
2. Screw the cap on the radiator. If damaged, replace the rubber sealing ring.

SENSOR DISPLAY cooling liquid (diesel engines)

Level indicating system coolant mainly consists of a sensor in the expansion tank and the control light on the dashboard.

Indication coolant level when the engine is running warns of too low coolant level and, thanks to this, the possible overheating of the engine. Once the ignition is switched on, the control light is on for 30 seconds. With the engine running, this light goes out immediately.

The coolant level in the expansion tank is removed by means of a float (551). At a low level of coolant in the closed sensor contact (550) and the control light. Depending on the traffic control light at first, briefly, and then constantly flashes. If the warning light flashes, add coolant.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start the engine and let it run at idle.
2. Pull the plug on coolant level sensor.
3. Connect an ohmmeter between the two contacts on the sensor. If the coolant level in the "max" mark the meter should show infinity. When an empty expansion tank resistance should be about 5 ohms.
4. Stop the engine.
5. If the sensor is okay, although the control lamp is not lit, check in accordance with the wiring diagram electrical lines and control lamp.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If necessary, pour a little coolant.
2. Lift the screwdriver retaining ring (550A).
3. Pull the sensor from the expansion tank.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Insert the new sensor with new O-ring (552) so as to fix the hole in the expansion tank on the various tabs on the width of the sensor.
2. Press the safety ring.
3. Pour the coolant.
