Coolant

1. The engine block
2. Cylinder head
3. Pump the liquid cooling system
4. The coolant regulator (thermostat)
A - mode of coolant in the small loop. The coolant circulates in the engine only when its temperature is below 87 ? C
In - mixed mode. When the coolant temperature within 87-102 ? C regulator coolant is partially open. Last flows and through the radiator
C - cooling mode. When the coolant temperature is above 102 ? C, a regulator is fully open. All the coolant flows through the radiator
5. Upper coolant pipe
6. Radiator horizontal coolant flow
7. Lower coolant pipe
8. Oil cooler
10. Compensation tank
11. The stock of silicate to prevent corrosion of aluminum alloys
12. Drain the tank
13. Line for venting
14. Line refueling
15. The heat exchanger of the heating system
16. The supply of heating
17. Tap the right heating
18. Tap the left heating

As part of the maintenance coolant should be replaced every 3 years. If the repair of cylinder heads were replaced head gasket, radiator, or heat engine, in each case, replace the coolant. This is necessary because the new parts are made of light alloy, for the period running anti-corrosive decomposition products are deposited and form a strong anti-corrosion paint. At a used coolant corrosion of these degradation products tend to contain insufficient to establish the new details at the desired protective layer.

If in the framework of other repairs coolant is drained, use it again.

A warning

Coolant is poisonous, and it can not simply be poured or mixed with household waste, but should be drained in a special place.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the ground cable (-) battery.
A warning

This erased anti-theft radio code.

2. Turn the cap on the expansion tank to the left until it locks, and the pressure does not leak out from the cooling system. Then, turn on the cover and remove it completely.
A warning

If the engine is hot, before removing the cover lay around her thick cloth to avoid burns due to the released hot coolant or vapor. Remove the cover only at fluid temperatures below 90 ? C.

3. Remove the bottom cover of the engine compartment.
4. Fit the drain fitting on the radiator (arrow) hose with an inner diameter of 12 mm.
5. Install the heat sink under the clean receptacle. Enter the hose receptacle and open the drain plug (3).

Draining

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Fit on the drain plug (4) on the engine block hose with an internal diameter of 12 mm.
2. Place under the engine clean receptacle, enter into it only the hose and loosen the drain plug without unscrewing it completely.
3. Completely drain the coolant.
4. Tighten the drain plug on the engine block to a torque of 30 Nm
5. Screw the drain plug on the radiator with a torque of 1.5 to 2 Nm (manually).
6. If planted, remove the drain hose.
7. Install the bottom cover of the engine compartment.

Refueling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the antifreeze content of the coolant.
2. Fill with coolant to the mark (arrow) through the expansion tank filler tube (2). In vehicles without a separate expansion tank - to the level of the water inlet pipe, in the case of the black top of the tank - before the beginning of the black part.
3. Connect the battery earth cable.
4. Allow the engine to warm up at idle as long as the heat setting will control the coolant (coolant temperature of about 100 ? C). At the same time, set the heating at full power and spurts depress the accelerator pedal.
A warning

When the coolant temperature is from 60 to 70 ? C, close the expansion tank.

5. Check the tightness of the cooling system hose connections, as well as the drain plug and pump the liquid cooling system.
6. Set the clock.
7. Enter the anti-theft code for the radio.
