Facing the front brake pads

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Mark a paint position of the front wheels relative to the hub. With this balance the wheel after removal can be put into place so as not to break balance. Release the wheel bolts are not picking up the car, then put the car on the front of the stand and remove the front wheels.
2. Pull the hand brake caliper outwards, so that little will overcome the brake pistons.
3. Open the cover (56) plug-in connection, for which a little lift screwdriver restraint side bolsters. Do not overdo it at the same time.
4. Disconnect the plug (57) wire wear pads (S10 / 1). At the same time, do not pull the cord.
5. Remove the lower mounting bolt brake piston housing, keeping the guide bolt (37) spanner.
6. Pull the piston housing (34) up and secure it with wire to the suspension spring. When tilting be careful not to bent guide pins. In no case do not use the piston housing to change the angle of the steering wheel.
7. Remove the lining pad (43) of the brake caliper. Additional components: 44 - spring bracket; S10 / 1 - wire wear.
8. Remove the wear of the base pad. The sensor is usually on the outside of the patch. In a modification of "taxi" is on all the sensor lining.
9. If rubbed wire insulation, replace the sensor.
A warning

Changing places of internal and external linings and pads of the left wheel to the right pad - is unacceptable. It can lead to uneven brake action. All covers one axis are changed simultaneously. Various wear linings may not be the cause of complaints. If the difference between the thickness of the inner and outer lining of more than 2 mm, must still check the guide bolts of a support for ease of movement and replace them if necessary.

Setting

A warning

When removing the lining, do not press the brake pedal, or the brake pistons will jump out from the case. If this has happened by mistake, remove the caliper and assemble it into a specialized workshop.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clean the surface of the rails, the landing pads in the shaft housing suitable for this soft metal brush and a vacuum cleaner or wipe with a cloth and alcohol. Do not use this products containing mineral oil or tools with sharp edges. Before installing the brake disc pads palpate fingers on the subject of irregularities, measure the thickness of the disc.
2. Check the boot (45) for cracks. Immediately replace the damaged boot because penetrating dirt quickly incapacitate support. Brake, floating caliper at the same time has to be removed and analyzed in a specialized workshop.
3. Upset brake pistons special devices (031). Come as a piece of wood (hammer handle), but it is especially take care not to warp or damage the piston surface of the piston and the anthers.

A warning

When the rein-back pistons brake fluid is pressed out of the brake cylinder in a broad tank. Watch the liquid level in the tank. It is advisable to suck the brake fluid via the siphon.

4. For use suction plastic bottle used for keeping only the brake fluid. Do not use drinking bottles. Brake fluid is poisonous and can not suck the mouth. Use a suction siphon. After the change of overlays brake fluid level must not exceed the maximum level, since due to the thermal expansion of the liquid may splash out of the tank. Leaking liquid dripping from the master cylinder, it corrodes the paint, leading to corrosion.
A warning

With a large wear pads Check ease of movement of the pistons. To do this, insert the caliper fitting a wooden bar and ask the assistant slowly depress the brake pedal. The brake pistons must be easy to go out and face down back. When testing is to be assembled a second caliper. If inadvertently popped the pistons or go to work, you need to remove the caliper and assemble it in a specialized workshop.

5. The next phase of work is not necessary: to prevent squeaking brakes, lightly grease the back side and edges bases pad (arrow) lubricants, for example, Plastilube, Tunap VC 582 / S, Chevron SRJ / 2, Liqui Moly LM-36 and LM -508-ASC. Grease in any case should not go to pad or brake disc. If necessary, immediately wipe off the lubricant paste, and clean alcohol pad.
6. Insert the two pads in the caliper. At the same time, make sure that the spring bracket was parallel to the upper edge of the pad.
7. Put the wear on the outer cover.
8. Replace the piston body to the starting position to the shield and screw the new self-locking bolt with a torque of 35 Nm This guide bolt hold open-end wrench.
A warning

Self-locking fixing bolt can be used only once.

9. Screw the spiral wire and connect to the sensor connectors on the support. Close the plug.
10. Put the front wheels so that coincided markings installed before their removal. Grab the wheel. Lower the car and tighten the wheel bolts crosswise with a torque of 110 Nm
A warning

Ponazhimayte vigorously several times on the brake pedal until you feel strong resistance.

11. Check brake fluid level in the tank, if necessary, top up to the maximum mark.
12. Carefully grind the new brake pads. To do this, repeatedly, to disperse the car to 80 km / h, it is decelerated to a speed of 40 km / h with a mild pressure on the pedal. Between braking allow the brakes to cool slightly.
A warning

Prior to run 200 km avoid emergency braking.

13. Brake pads are a special waste materials and in each case, before they are disposed of, should know whether it is permitted.
