Removal of the front shock absorbers



SEQUENCE OF WORK
1. In the engine compartment, remove the mud cover (only for the right shock absorber) and other elements for access to the upper shock absorber.

2. Loosen the upper shock absorber. After loosening the lock nut with two open-end wrench, you can unscrew the top fastening of the shock-absorber (Fig. 7.9). At the workshop for this purpose, a special head SW 17 with welded on top of the handle, which is set to hold another key shock absorber rod. If necessary, you can make yourself a key.
3. Remove the cup and rubber mount.
4. Lift the front of the car and remove a corresponding wheel.
5. Loosen the bolt on the lower wishbone.
6. Remove the shock absorber.
7. When you install the shock absorber, which is made in the reverse order, using new self-locking nuts.

8. Lower mount on the lower wishbone tighten to 55 Nm (Fig. 7.10).
9. At the top of the first wrap up the nut until it reaches the remote bush, and then tighten it to a torque of 15 Nm.
10. Tighten the first nut of the top nut and tighten it to a torque of 30 Nm, while holding the lower SW 17.
