Removal and installation of the front suspension springs



When measuring the position of the body height and adjusting the angle of the front wheels ustanoski need to use special equipment company "Mercedes-Benz".



PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. In the engine compartment, unscrew the nuts of shock absorber to the upper pole of the body and remove the washer and rubber sleeve.
  2. Apply the parking brake, lift the front of the vehicle and substitute stops. Remove the wheels.
  3. Compress the spring jack-trolley, placing it under the lower arm.
  4. Replace the compression spring device, which should capture nine spring coils.
  5. Compress the spring on both sides. To facilitate the use of compression can be a jack mounted at the lower arm.
  6. Lower suspension arm and remove the spring from the car with a rubber cushion upper mounting.
  7. Rubber pads rotate left and remove. Install the spring longitudinally between the jaws of the bench screw and gradually loosen the coupling bolt fixtures
  8. Clean the top and bottom support springs and make sure that the drain hole in the lower bearing cup is not blocked.
  9. Spend fault detection spring clean and, if necessary, replace it with the proper. It is recommended to change both springs at the same time.
  10. Installation is the reverse order of removal. This should ensure that the lower coil spring mounted in a groove provided for the lower bearing cup. While tightening the nuts Strut front suspension to be loaded weight of the vehicle.
