Removing, dismantling and installation of the steering knuckle



PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Prepare the vehicle (see. Removing and installing spring front suspension, Check, removal and installation of shock absorbers, Removal and installation of the bar front stabilizer bar, Removal and installation of the front suspension assembly and removal, installation and adjustment of the hub and front wheel bearings) and remove the wheel .
  2. Remove the bolt of the pivot arm to the bottom of the knuckle.
  3. Remove the caliper.
  4. Remove the front wheel hub.
  5. Place a jack-cart under the lower control arm, unscrew the nut of the upper ball joint and with the help of a stripper separate upper suspension arm.
  6. Remove the lower ball joint nut and with the help of a stripper separate knuckle from the lower control arm.
  7. Unscrew and remove the shield of the brake disc with the brake cam.
  8. Spend flaw detection of ball joints, pay special attention to their axial play. Damaged cases replace, and tamp the new joints lubricated.
  9. When worn lower ball joint must be replaced when the wear of the upper ball joint must be replaced by an upper control arm assembly.

Install the knuckle is made in reverse order of removal.
