Bleeding brake system



After the repair the brake system, in which it was carried out the autopsy of a hydraulic path inside the latter may enter the air, which then has to be completely removed. An indication of the presence of workers in the contours of the air brake system is a soft stroke of the brake pedal.

If air enters the system as a result of violation of its integrity, the cause of the fault must first be eliminated.

After contact with the air at any given wheel cylinder pumping just enough to carry the appropriate support. If air enters a path of the system due to excessive lowering of the liquid level in the tank GTZ, as well as after the removal / installation of the whole system is pumped through the latter. This also applies to the case of performing maintenance procedures requiring the dismantling hydromodulator.

Bleeding without the use of a special device

PERFORMANCE ORDER

When fully emptied of any camera reservoir GTZ (e.g., as a result of leakage of any of the paths, or if the fluid is not podlita the reservoir after servicing procedures) sucked into the channel air inevitably pump ABS, - in this case the pumping must be performed in a service station using a special device.

  1. Check the level of brake fluid in the reservoir, if necessary, make appropriate adjustment (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).

During the procedure the liquid in the tank should not be unduly GTZ fall - Periodically adjusting its level by adding fresh!

  1. Remove the dust cap from the valve of pumping with the corresponding brake caliper. Tension on the gate length of transparent hose, the free end lower in the drain container partially filled with brake fluid to prevent air suction during pumping.
  2. Using the Allen wrench to loosen the valve carefully.
  3. Ask the assistant to stop several times to squeeze the brake pedal and then lock it in the down position.
  4. Open the valve - the brake fluid begins to flow into the drain capacitance. With the weakening of the pressure, close the valve and repeat the procedure.
  5. Keep pumping up until pumped out of the circuit liquid is completely free of air bubbles / hose starts pushed fresh liquid (in the case of the exercise of its replacement), - do not forget to check and, when necessary, adjust the level of the liquid in the tank GTZ.
  6. When finished pumping, tighten the valve, remove the hose and put on a dust cap.
  7. If necessary, acting in a similar manner, bleed brake calipers left - do not forget to periodically pour the liquid into the tank GTZ.
  8. Finally, adjust the liquid level in the tank GTZ (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust) and check up serviceability of functioning of brake system and clutch.

Bleeding with a special instrument

Devices must be in strict accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, - the implementation of the procedure should be by a qualified service center.
