Check of serviceability of functioning of the vacuum brake booster

Check of serviceability of functioning of the vacuum brake booster

8 - Vacuum line

070 - Connector

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Illustrative material verification of serviceability of functioning of the vacuum brake booster is presented in the figure, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Connect the vacuum gauge (030) to the brake booster (16) and a few taps on the brake pedal reset the vacuum in the vacuum path.
  3. Connect the tester (051) to the brake caliper.
  4. Connect the meter (060) to the brake pedal.
  5. Start the engine and a sharp releasing the accelerator pedal depressed, create a vacuum in the path of the required vacuum (0.75 ÷ 0.80 bar).
  6. If the vacuum falls immediately, or its depth is insufficient, check the O-ring installed between the vacuum servo amplifier and GTZ, also not ruled out the probability of failure of the control valve in the vacuum line. Check the non-return valve (see. Section Check non-return valve). Replace defective components.
  7. Squeezing the pedal to the required efforts, consider reading the tester. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications.
  8. Disconnect from a pedal meter (060), disconnect the tester (051) and the vacuum gauge (030).
  9. Bleed the brake system (see. Section Bleeding brake system).
