Check of serviceability of functioning of the vacuum brake booster

8 - Vacuum line

070 - Connector


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Connect the vacuum gauge (030) to a connector (070) of the vacuum line (8) of the brake booster (16) and a few taps on the brake pedal reset the vacuum in the vacuum path.
  2. Start the engine and a sharp releasing the accelerator pedal depressed, create a vacuum in the path of the required vacuum (0.75 ÷ 0.80 bar).
  3. While pressing the brake pedal relieve depression to a depth of> 0.80 bar.
  4. Stop the engine, - the rate of loss of vacuum should not exceed 0.4 bar / min. If necessary, check if the servo operation of the vacuum amplifier (see. Section Check of serviceability of functioning of brake servo).
  5. Disconnect the gauge (030).
