Replacing the rear brake pads

The brake pads are subject to control by the technical supervision authorities. Furthermore, they are intended for use in a particular vehicle model. Use the brake pads recommended by the manufacturer. These brake pads are marked accordingly.

If the brake pads will be used again, when removing the need to mark them. Rearrange the brake pads from the outside to the inside and vice versa, or from the right wheel on the left is not allowed. Always replace all brake pads of one axis at a time, even if the wear limit has reached, only one of them.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Mark a paint position of the rear wheels relative to the hub. This allows the assembly to establish BALANCED wheels in their former position. Loosen the wheel bolts before jacking the car. Lift the rear of the car, put it on supports and remove the rear wheels.

Operation lifting and car installation on supports is connected with danger! Therefore, prior to the operation to check out the Poddomkrachivanie and towing Introduction to management.

2. Drive out the pin (1) the appropriate knockout (2) from outside to inside of the caliper.

Thus jumps clamping spring (3).

3. Remove the brake pads from the caliper back.
4. If the former will again be installed in the brake pads, mark them ("internal", "external"). Thus they can be installed at their original locations.

When you remove a support not press the brake pedal, otherwise the piston will be forced out of the housing. If the piston was accidentally pushed out of the body, remove a support and give it to the service station assembly.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Before installing the brake pads Check the brake as described in Section Removal and installation of a forward support.

1. Press the piston with special tool or a hammer. When pressed on the piston the brake liquid is squeezed out of the cylinder into the tank.

2. Insert the brake pads in the caliper. At the same time pay attention to the position of the damping plate (1). When using the former already in the pad, take care that they were installed on the former places.

Keep the friction surfaces of brake discs and pads grease or oil.

3. Insert the locking spring behind the brake pads in the caliper.
4. With the help of an assistant push retaining spring to the brake pads and enter the pin in the hole in the caliper.
5. Install the pin all the way into the caliper.
6. Replace the rear wheels so that coincided marks put at removal. Preliminary grease with a thin layer of bearing grease centering the belt drive wheel on the hub. Bolts do not grease the wheels. Rusty bolts replace. Tighten the screws. Lower the car on wheels and tighten bolts cross-wise the moment of 110 nm.

Several times, press firmly on the brake pedal until it reaches a noticeable resistance. Thus, the brake pads are adjacent to the drive and take your position.

7. Check the fluid level in the tank, if necessary, add a liquid to a mark MAX.
8. New brake pads carefully burnished. To do this a few times brake the car to a speed of 80 km / h to 40 km / h, pressing lightly on the brake pedal. Between braking allow the brake to cool down. The first 200 km of traffic do not apply without the need for a strong braking of the car.

Spend Control Reliability:

? Whether the brake hoses are fixed?
? Assigned Whether the brake hose in the holder?
? For loose bleed screws?
? Flooded there enough brake fluid?
? With the engine running, check for leaks. For this purpose depress the brake pedal force of 200 - 300 N (20 - 30 kg) for 10 seconds. The pedal should not weaken. Check all connections for leaks.
