Removal and installation of the mechanism of the electronic steering column lock



Details of the installation of an electronic steering column lock (ELV)

37m - Fixing bolt
37P - Socket
71 - Sleeve column

N26 / 5 - electronic lock control module

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  2. Remove the lower section of the instrument panel trim on the driver's side of the vehicle (see chap. Body).
  3. At a corresponding complete set remove the knee-stop (see chap. Body).
  4. Expand the side sample and remove the retaining bolt (37m).
  5. Release the lock of the electronic control unit (N26 / 5) of the sleeve of the steering column (71)
  1. Turn on the auxiliary battery and connect it to a standard battery, then disconnect the negative cable last.

    7 - Auxiliary battery
    8 - terminal positive wire module
    9 - negative terminal wire module
    W10 - Ground Battery
  1. Disconnect the connector (37P).
  2. Installation is in the reverse order.
  3. With proper configuration, deactivate the service mode of TELE AID.
  4. Finally, clean the processor memory on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
