Removing and installing steering column with electric adjustment



All self-locking fasteners be replaced without fail!

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  1. Turn on the auxiliary battery and connect it to a standard battery, then disconnect the negative cable last.

    7 - Auxiliary battery
    8 - terminal positive wire module
    9 - negative terminal wire module
    W10 - Ground Battery
  1. Expand in the straight-ahead position and remove the steering wheel (see. Section Removal and installation of the steering wheel).
  2. Remove the instrument cluster (see chap. Body).
  3. Remove the cover to the left under the dashboard.
  4. 7 Remove the ignition assembly (EIS) (see chap. Onboard electric equipment).
  5. Remove the lid of the column cover.
  6. At a corresponding complete set remove the knee stress.
  7. Disconnect the connectors (3) wiring.
  8. Remove the switch mode switching operation of lighting (See chap. Onboard electric equipment).
  9. Remove the screws (12 and 11).
  10. Remove spacer tube (4).
  11. Remove the upper (7) and lower (8) bolts.
  12. Give a nut (2) and remove the screw (9) of the central universal joint (1).
  13. Having hooked, remove the hinge (1) on the steering shaft (14).
  14. Pull into the passenger compartment, remove the sleeve of the steering column (5), - try not to damage the boot (10).
  15. Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to put the pin (13) in the receptacle carrier bracket (6).
  16. With proper configuration, deactivate the service mode of TELE AID.
  17. Finally, clean the processor memory on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
