Replacement seals
Transmission oil leaks are mostly related to wear and tear or mechanical damage seals or O-rings. Replacing these sealing devices made quite simple and does not require removing the transmission from the vehicle. Seals driveshafts | 1. Seals are located on both sides of the gearbox in the introduction in which the drive shafts. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props. A sign of leakage of oil through the gland are streaks on the walls of the crankcase RKPP directly under the corresponding drive shaft. 2. Remove the drive shaft (s) (see chap. Coupling and power shafts). | 3. Use the special tool, mount or a large flat-blade screwdriver, remove the old seal from its landing nest in the transmission housing. |
| 4. Using as a mandrel head end of the appropriate size or a segment of pipe of suitable diameter, put new oil seal on the regular place. Make sure that the gland appeared seated in the slot and exactly perpendicular to the full depth. | The mandrel should rest only in the hard outer edge of the end surface of the gland. |
|
5. Lubricate the oil seal lips with gear oil. 6. Install the drive shaft (s), - try not to damage the new sponge gland (s). |

O-ring landing speed sensor (speedometer drive assembly) | | 1. The vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is fixed to the housing Manual transmission. Inspect the housing for signs of oil leakage through the O-ring fit the sensor / actuator assembly speedometer. |
2. Disconnect the wiring VSS, and then take the pressure, and remove the bolt assembly of the speedometer sensor assembly with the gearbox. 3. Using a scriber or a screwdriver with a thin screwdriver, remove the assembly removed from the O-ring (it is best to use a device in the form of a thin, folded at the end of the rod). 4. Put a new O-ring receiving groove in the casing of the speedometer drive gear, previously lightly greased it with gear oil. 5. Install in the reverse order. |
