Tensioners and idlers chain drive sprocket

Withdrawal

TENSION LOWER CHAIN

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Set the parking brake, lift the front of the car and establish on supports.
2. Working from the bottom, unscrew the two screws and remove the bottom of the chain tensioner. Remove the gasket, drawing attention to its original position.

A warning

When removing the tensioner, crankshaft rotation is not allowed.

TENSION UPPER CHAIN

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the three bolts and remove an arm of the right support of the power unit.
2. Remove the bolts and nuts and remove the cam-driven Stars, remove the spacer (if equipped).
3. On engines of early releases unclip the chain tensioner and lock the hook, which is located on the side of the shoe.
4. On engines later releases take aside and fix the chain tensioner rod, paving the rod between the shoe and the chain.
5. Remove the two screws and remove the tensioner, taking it out of the cylinder head.

A warning

When removing the tensioner, crankshaft rotation is not allowed.

Pacifier bottom chain

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the camshaft chain (see. Subsection 3.1.1.7).
2. Remove the two screws and remove the lower damper circuit.

SHOE CHAIN TENSIONER LOWER

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the front cover (see the. Subsection 3.1.1.6).
2. Remove the bolt axis and remove the lower chain tensioner shoe.

Guide rails UPPER CHAIN (for engines early releases)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the cylinder head cover (see. Subsection 3.1.1.4).
2. Remove the two screws and remove the guide bar.

Pacifier UPPER CHAIN (for engines early releases)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the inspection cover stars camshafts.
2. Remove the two screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the upper damper circuit.

STAR camshafts

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the piston of 1st cylinder at top dead center of the compression stroke.
2. Remove the cylinder head cover.
3. Uncover the stars of camshafts.
4. Remove the camshaft sprocket and the upper chain.

INTERIM sprocket and drive sprocket CRANKSHAFT

Remove the drive chain and sprocket (see Fig. Subsection 3.1.1.7).

Checking the Status

See. Subsection 3.1.1.7.

Setting

TENSION LOWER CHAIN

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Make sure that the split surface of the tensioner and the lid are dry and clean.
2. Establish a new lining, oriented so that the slot on the gasket is aligned with the oil hole tensioner.
3. Install the tensioner and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

TENSION UPPER CHAIN

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On cars of early releases tensioner shoe should be taken aside and fixed hook. Install the tensioner assembly to the cylinder head. Tighten bolts to specified torque tensioner, remove the hook (arrow). Make sure that the tensioner shoe shoe with power rested in the chain.
2. On cars of late releases take aside and fix the shoe tensioner rod. Install the tensioner and tighten the bolts to the specified torque. Take the rod, and make sure that the tensioner shoe shoe firmly rested in the chain.
3. Check purity and the absence of traces of moisture and oil on the sealing surface observation sprocket covers of camshafts and cylinder heads. If the cover has a gasket, replace the gasket, setting it to the cylinder head. If the seals provide hermetic, then apply it around the perimeter of the lid a continuous layer. Replace the cover and tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque.
4. Replace the right support of the power unit bracket and tighten bolts with the set moment.

Pacifier bottom chain

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Set the damper to the engine block.
2. Tighten the bolts with the set moment.
3. Replace chain.

SHOE CHAIN TENSIONER LOWER

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Set the shoe on the engine block.
2. Tighten the axle bolt to the specified torque.
3. Set the front cover.

Guide rails UPPER CHAIN (for engines early releases)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the upper chain guide rail to the cylinder head.
2. Tighten the bolts with the set moment.
3. Install the cylinder head cover.

Pacifier UPPER CHAIN (for engines early releases)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the upper damper circuit to the cylinder head.
2. Tighten the bolts with the set moment.
3. Install the camshaft sprocket covers.

Camshaft driven sprocket

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the camshaft sprocket and the upper chain.
2. On engines of early releases install the guide bar and damper top chain, tighten all the bolts to the specified torque.
3. Install the top chain tensioner.
4. Install the cylinder head cover.

INTERIM sprocket and drive sprocket CRANKSHAFT
