The fuel manifold and fuel injectors

A warning

See precautions in section 6.3.2 before starting work.

If you think that the injector has failed, try to clean it with an appropriate cleaner injectors, such as Holts Redex Injector Treatment.

MODELS "PHASE I"

See subsection 6.3.2.11.1.

Do not forget that between the injector and mounting plates installed additional pads.

MODELS "PHASE II"

Removing

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the upper section of the intake manifold, the instructions given in the 20-25 sub-section 6.3.2.13.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator.
3. Release the pressure in the fuel system, the instructions given in section 6.3.2.6. Then, release the retaining clips and remove the fuel hose and the hose of the return pipeline on the left side of the fuel manifold (indicated by arrows (models with engine capacity of 1.6 liters)).
4. Release fixing clips and disconnect sockets of connection from the four injectors.
5. Unscrew and remove the mounting bolts of the fuel reservoir, then carefully remove the fuel manifold and injectors from the intake manifold and remove it from the engine compartment.
6. Remove the gasket installed between the fuel manifold and the intake manifold, and remove the seal from the intake manifold injector.
7. Remove the two screws and remove the mounting plate and gasket to remember how it was installed, with the appropriate injector.
8. Squeeze and remove the injector O-rings. Similarly remove remaining injectors.
9. Discard the seals and O-rings; When installing, use a new one.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is spent upside-down removals. When installing, pay attention to the following points.
2. Before installing injectors, install them on the new O-rings on the injector (indicated by arrows).
3. Apply engine oil to the O-rings for easier installation, and then install the fuel injectors on the manifold. Check that the gasket is properly installed, then install the mounting plate and tighten the screws.
4. Install the new seals of injectors on the intake manifold and install the gasket between the fuel manifold and the intake manifold. Install fuel manifold to the intake manifold and install the mounting bolts.
5. In diagonal order, starting from the middle and tighten the fixing bolts to the required torque Step B 1. Then, again, in the same order tighten the bolts to the required torque Step B 2.
6. Attach the upper section of the intake manifold, the instructions given in Section 6.3.2.13.
7. Check that all hoses are properly connected and, if necessary, secure them with clamps.
8. Adjust the accelerator cable to the instructions given in section 6.3.2.3.
9. After installation, start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
