Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the piston of 1st cylinder at TDC compression stroke (see. Subsection 3.1.1.3).
2. Remove the cylinder head cover (see. Subsection 3.2.1.4).
3. Remove the camshaft chain drive (see. Subsection 3.2.1.6).
4. Remove the oil filter (see. Subsection 2.2.1). In case of damage during removal of the filter, replace the filter.
5. Remove the nuts and bolts and remove the chain tensioner. Remove the O-ring tensioner.
A warning

When removing the tensioner, crankshaft rotation is not allowed.

6. Unscrew and remove the upper chain guide from the top of the cylinder head.
7. Remove the bolt axis shoe chain tensioner and remove the shoe from the engine block.
8. Loosen and remove the bolts (arrows) and remove the pacifier.
9. Release the bolts of asterisks of camshafts, each camshaft holding spanner for flats in the front, remove each of the screws with the washer.
10. Remove the camshaft sprocket. With the weakening of the locating pins at the ends of the camshaft, remove the pins and store with asterisks.
11. Remove the chain from the crankshaft drive sprocket.
12. If necessary, remove the crankshaft sprocket with the previously paid attention to the correct position of the stars, and remove the key (with the weakening of the key in the groove of the crankshaft). Store the key together with the drive sprocket.

Checking the Status

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check on the drive and driven sprockets of the two signs of wear and defects such as chips, hooked or absence of teeth. If you notice any of these signs of wear and damage to all stars, as well as the chain should be replaced complete.
2. Examine the links in the chain, check the wear of rollers. The degree of wear of the chain can be defined by the deflection in the horizontal plane. The new chain deflection is almost absent. If the chain links has a noticeable end play, the chain should be replaced. Keep in mind that regardless of the external signs of wear, the chain should also be replaced after a significant run, or if the engine is running is heard a rattling noise from the circuit. It is strongly recommended to change the chain complete with asterisks, as the installation of a new chain on worn sprockets or vice versa, leads to increased wear of the new part and is not justified from the standpoint of cost. If the condition of chains and sprockets inspires doubt, seek advice from a qualified service Car Nissan.
3. Check for signs of wear or damage to the damper and chain guide in contact with the chain in the detection of defects replace these parts.
4. The tensioner condition can only be assessed by comparison with a new part. If the condition of the tensioner inspire at least a small doubt, it should be replaced.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Make sure that the piston of 1st cylinder is still at TDC compression stroke (groove for the key at the toe of the crankshaft should be turned vertically upwards, when viewed from the right side of the engine). Insert the key into the groove at the toe of the crankshaft.
2. Properly orient the crankshaft sprocket (adjusting label on an asterisk should be facing away from the crankshaft, and a groove in the sprocket must be aligned with the key) and put on the crankshaft.
3. The circuit has three different color level (indicated by arrows), each of which corresponds to a separate mounting label. Two managers, who are closer to each other correspond to the camshaft adjusting labels, the third link must match the timing mark of the crankshaft drive sprocket.

A warning

On some vehicles, those links in the chain that correspond to adjusting labels camshafts stars may differ in color from the level corresponding to an adjusting label of the drive sprocket.

4. Orient the chain so that the different color units have been sent out and placed in front of the corresponding adjusting labels, get a chain sprocket, aligning is highlighted link (arrow) with the timing mark on the sprocket.
5. Install driven sprockets on the camshafts intake and exhaust valves, and the marks on the sprockets are pointing outwards.
A warning

Both sprockets are identical.

6. Place the chain (arrow) on the exhaust camshaft sprocket so different in color units are aligned with adjusting labels.
7. Then put the chain (arrow) on the inlet camshaft sprocket, aligning different color units with mounting metkama.
8. Insert the ends of the camshaft dowel pins (if possible), align the slots in the sprockets with mounting studs. Make sure that the color of different units are combined with the corresponding adjusting labels Stars. Otherwise, remove the chain from the sprockets and make the necessary adjustments.
9. After the combination of adjusting labels with corresponding links of the chain tighten bolts of asterisks of camshafts, having dressed on bolts washers.
10. Tighten bolts with the set moment. During tightening Do not turn the camshaft by holding the spanner flats.
11. Install the damper and tighten the bolt to the specified torque pacifier.
12. Install chain tensioner shoe and tighten the bolt axis of the shoe with the set moment.
13. Install the top chain guide in the cylinder head, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
14. Release the latch tensioner (1), push the plunger into the housing and lock in this position hook, throwing it on the pin plug (2).
15. Install the new tensioner flange gasket and the groove body lay a new O-ring.
16. Install the tensioner, making sure that the arrow on the flange facing away from the cylinder head. Put the washers and tighten the nuts to the specified torque tensioner. After tightening the nuts of the mounting hook should automatically come out of engagement with the pin, releasing the plunger.
17. Install the new oil filter and fill the engine with oil (see. Subsection 2.2.1).
18. Establish a cover of a chain drive (see. Subsection 3.2.1.6).
19. Install the cylinder head cover (see. Subsection 3.2.1.4).
