The cover of a chain drive of cam

A warning

If the cover of a chain drive to be removed without damaging the fixing of the cylinder head, the assembly may be weak after an oil leak at the site fit the cover and the cylinder head. Keep this in mind and with the removal of a cover of a chain drive in advance decide whether or not the replaced head gasket.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the crankshaft pulley (see. Subsection 3.2.1.5).
2. Remove both the oil pan and the oil receiver assembly with coarse filter (see. Subsection 3.2.1.12).
3. Remove the power steering pump (see. Subpart 12.15).
4. Remove the water pump pulley.
5. Remove the generator (see. Subsection 7.3).
6. Raise the engine, substituting a jack under the frame of the cast main bearing caps in the crankcase, crankshaft, under the framework of the pre-paving the board. You can also post the engine hoist lift, or traverse, hooking hoists for technological lugs, which are provided on the engine.
7. Remove the coupling bolt of the right support of the power unit, then remove bolts and remove the support assembly from the engine compartment. If behind rubber pillows of support from the bracket body, remove and pillows.
8. Remove the bracket bolts and remove an arm of the right support of the power unit with the engine.
9. Loosen and unscrew bolts of a cover of a chain drive, including three upper cover bolts to the cylinder head. Bolts of different lengths, however, should mark their original position.
10. Remove the cover from the toe of the crankshaft, and then manipulate, remove the cover from the engine compartment. Remove from the oil passage O-ring, which should always be replaced.
11. If the guide pins loosened the lid, then remove them and store with cover.
12. Remember the correct location of the oil nozzles for chain lubrication jet. If the nozzle gets loose, remove it and store it with the cap.
13. Remove the toe of the crankshaft pinion spacer sleeve of the oil pump. Remove the crankshaft key (if the key fit in the groove weakened) and store it with the remote bush.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installation is recommended to replace the crankshaft oil seal. Carefully remove the used one gland, hooked his big screwdriver.
2. Install a new oil seal so that the jaws working edges were directed inward. Press-fit the oil seal into place all the way to the shoulder. The glands can be pressed into a tubular mandrel, limited only by the outer seal lip.
3. Make sure the sealing surface of the cover and the cylinder block are clean and dry.
4. Install the key on the crankshaft (if removed).
5. Align the groove under the key in the remote bush of the oil pump with the key, and then put the plug on the toe of the crankshaft.
6. Replace the dowel pins (if removed) and place in the groove around the oil-ring channel. Also check the correct installation of the injector chain oil (if the nozzle is removed).
7. Apply a thin coat of sealant to the split surface of the cover to the cylinder block.

A warning

Do not apply sealant near the oil passage hole cover and the oil grooves (pictured is a place indicated by the arrow).

8. If the cylinder head is not removed, then apply a sealant and also on the upper surface of the lid.
9. Lift the lid and set the pinion gear of the oil pump so that the gear engages with remote bush when replacing the cover. Put the lid on the crankshaft, taking care not to damage the sealing lips of the oil seal, replace the cover guide pins.
10. Tighten the cover bolts in the old holes, tighten the bolts evenly over the plane of the lid. Tighten in stages, gradually increasing force until the specified torque.
11. Tighten the three bolts M6 mounting cover of a chain drive to the cylinder head, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
12. Set the bracket right power train engine and tighten bolts with the set moment. Set the rubber pads on the mounting bracket from the body (if airbag battered), making sure the pin cushions into the holes in the bracket. Establish a support and tighten bolts with the set moment.
13. Align the right support of the power unit with the bracket body, insert the coupling bolt and tighten the nut bolts with the set moment. Remove the vehicle from the stand.
14. Install the oil receiver to the coarse filter and oil pan (see. Subsection 3.2.1.12).
15. Install the cylinder head cover (see. Subsection 3.2.1.4).
16. Set the generator (see. Subsection 7.3).
17. Install the water pump pulley and tighten the screws.
18. Install the power steering pump (see. Subpart 12.15).
19. Install the crankshaft pulley (see. Subsection 3.1.1.5).
