The sequence of tightening nuts and bolts of aluminum oil pan

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Place the car on a manual brake, then lift the front of the car and establish on supports. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Remove the screws and remove the plastic cover under the engine.
3. Drain the oil from the engine. After the oil drain, clean the drain plug, and tighten the screw with the specified torque. If the work is done at maturity oil and filter change, it is also recommended to replace the filter. After assembly, fill the engine with fresh oil.
4. Following the description in section 6.1.13 Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.
5. The sequence of return specified in fig. Sequence of tightening the nuts and bolts of aluminum oil pan, remove all screws on the small stamped steel pan to the base of the main tray, cast aluminum alloy. Strokes palm open consolidation of small pan and remove it from under the car.
6. Unscrew the bolts and remove the valve stem from the base plate of the aluminum pan.
7. Slightly lift the crankcase transmission jack, having laid a board that Jack took the weight of the unit. You can also hang the engine on the boom or hoist.
8. On vehicles with manual transmission marker, mark the location of the bolts on the front support bracket. These labels will be set when the bolt assembly. Loosen and remove the nut, then remove the coupling bolt support.
9. On all cars release and turn away a nut of a coupling bolt and remove the bolt from the back support of the power unit.
10. Release and remove the four screws on the central spar to the body, remove the spar assembly and remove from under the vehicle. Remove the stop ring, which is mounted between the rear support and the bracket.
11. On vehicles equipped with air conditioning, release and remove the bolts of the lower arm of the compressor unit to the aluminum pan.
A warning

The compressor itself is not necessary to remove.

12. Remove the two screws lining the pan.
13. Remove the cover, after which access will be provided to the two nuts securing the pallet.
14. In the reverse sequence shown in the figure, remove the nuts and bolts of the aluminum pan to the bottom of the cylinder.
15. Remove the two screws (1) of the flange portion of the oil pan to the crankcase transmission. These bolts must be screwed into the adjacent threaded holes (2), and use them to remove the oil pan from the engine block by screwing. Tighten the screws to lock in the split plane of the cylinder, then tighten the bolts alternately, gradually increasing force, thus ensuring uniform without removing distortions from the base pan cylinder.
16. Remove the aluminum pan and turn out the bolts used to separate the pan from the engine block.

A warning

On vehicles equipped with automatic transmission, for removing the pallet may need to disconnect a cable from the transmission selector lever.

17. While the pallet is removed, unscrew the two screws and remove the frame from the crankshaft main bearing caps with oil receiver coarse filter and valve stem plate. Remove the O-ring installed between the filter and the oil receiver timing chain cover. Rinse the strainer in solvent. Check for blockages or breaks in the grid filter oil receiver. If any signs of damage, replace the oil receiver assembly with strainer.
18. Check for signs of damage to the rubber bushings of the central spar, if necessary, replace the sleeve.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove any remnants of the seal split planes of both pallets and the cylinder block, then wipe clean pallets and internal surfaces of the engine.
2. The groove oil receiver lay a new O-ring and set ups on the basis of the cover of a chain drive. Tighten the bolts oil receiver. Install the valve stem plate on the bottom of the tides in the crankcase, tighten the bolts.
3. Make sure that the split plane of the pallet and cylinder are clean and dry. On the sealing surface of the aluminum pan, apply a continuous strip of sealant. Keep in mind that all around the asterisk bolts strip should be located on and around the other bolts - on the inside.
4. Attach the pallet at the place of the cylinder block. Tighten bolts and nuts and tighten them by hand. Tighten the nuts and bolts of the pallet with the specified torque in the order shown in Fig. Sequence tightening nuts and bolts of aluminum oil pan.
5. Tighten the two screws on the tray flange to the transmission housing, tighten them securely. If necessary, connect the cable of the selector lever.
6. Install the cover on the flange of the tray, tighten the bolts.
7. On vehicles equipped with air conditioning, tighten the bracket bolts of the compressor.
8. Make sure you have all the rubber bushings, set on an arm of a back support of the power unit restrictive ring. Replace the central spar, aligning with the supports of the engine, tighten the screws and washers. Tighten the central spar with the set moment.
9. On cars with manual gearbox Install the pinch bolt at the place of the front support of the power unit, tighten the nut. Set the power unit so that the coupling bolt of the front support precisely aligned with the labels put before dismantling. Then tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
10. Insert a coupling bolt of a back support of the power unit and tighten the nut with the set moment.
11. Remove the jack from under the transmission housing.
12. Install the valve stem plate in the bottom of the aluminum pan, tighten the bolts.
13. Check the cleanliness of the split surface of the small oil sump (stamped steel). Put on this surface a continuous strip of sealant.
14. Apply a sealant groove between the holes in the middle of the split surfaces, and around the inside edge of each of the bolt holes.
15. Attach the tray in place and tighten the screws by hand. Tighten bolts in the specified sequence to the specified torque.
16. Install the front exhaust pipe (see. Subsection 6.1.14).
17. Install the lower cover, tighten the mounting screws.
18. Fill the engine with oil.
