Check the rear window defogger

Rear Defrost a plurality of horizontal conductors deposited on the inner surface of the rear window.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For detection of rupture of a conductor of a heater of back glass include ignition switch and rear window defogger.
2. Connect one lead of the voltmeter to the weight of the car and a second probe, wrap in foil and move a foil on a heater conductor.
3. Connect a voltmeter probe into the center of each conductor of a heater of back glass. If the voltmeter shows voltage of about 5 V, then the heater conductor is serviceable. If the voltmeter shows voltage of 0 V or 12 V, it means that there is a rupture of a conductor of a heater.
4. In order to detect the break conductor of a heater connect one lead of the voltmeter to the positive terminal of the heater and a second probe move on a heater conductor from the negative terminal of the heater. The point at which the voltage shown by the voltmeter, will fall about several volt to zero, and is a place of rupture of a conductor of a heater.
