Removing and installing oil pan



The oil pan and the oil pump of the diesel engine

1 - the oil pump;
2 - an asterisk of the oil pump;
3 - a bolt, 25 Nm;
4 - chain;
5 - the front cover with the sealing ring. The cover is installed on the hermetic VW-D 176404A2. The front cover is installed O-ring of the crankshaft;
6 - a bolt, 15 Nm;
7 - chain tensioner, 15 Nm;
8 - dipstick engine oil;
9 - introductory pipe;
10 - the guide tube;
11 - guides the oil pump;
12 - O-ring;
13 - Pipe maslozabornika;
14 - oil deflector;
15 - oil pan. Installing the oil pan sealant is made on the VW-D 176404A2;
16 - a sealing ring. When installing, use a new sealing ring;
17 - oil drain plug, 30 Nm

Oil filter diesel engines

1 - screw-threaded plug, 25 Nm;
2 - consolidation;
3 - oil heat exchanger. If the engine oil is present in a large number of chips, which indicates burrs in the engine and the need to replace the oil exchanger;
4 - seal. The seal is installed in the groove of the heat exchanger;
5 - a sealing ring. In the presence of defects is necessary to use a new sealing ring;
6 - screw-threaded plug, 10 Nm;
7 - screw-threaded plug;
8 - a spring relief valve 5 bar;
9 - pressure-reducing valve plunger 5 bar;
10 - oil pressure sensor, 25 Nm (gray);
11 - seal;
12 - a bolt, 15 Nm + tighten on a corner 90 ?�. When installing, use a new bolt. First of all screwed upper left and lower bolts, then all four bolts are tightened to torque;
13 - the holder of the oil filter;
14 - a sealing ring;
15 - oil supply line to the turbocharger (TDI);
16 - a hollow screw 20 Nm;
17 - cover 25 Nm;

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the bottom mudguard of the engine.
2. Drain the engine oil by loosening the oil drain plug about half a turn. Place the container for oil plum under a drain stopper and unscrew a stopper completely. If necessary, press a stopper when unscrew that oil did not proceed prematurely.
3. When the oil has completely drained, screw the oil drain plug in place and tighten its moment of 30 Nm.
4. If you have additional noise insulation, remove the oil pan and the engine. To do this, unscrew the bolt (1) and remove the caps Expanding (2) of the rubber sockets.
5. Remove the two or three bolts securing sump to gearbox housing.
6. Unscrew the bolts with a wrench (for example HAZET 2528-10) and remove the oil pan from the engine block.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Using a plastic or wooden scraper, remove the old gasket surface of the cylinder, interfaced to the oil pan.
2. Using a rotating wire brush, planted on an electric Drillers, clear sealant to the oil pan.
3. Apply a layer of sealant VW-D 176 404 A2 3 mm on an interfaced surface of the oil pan (place sealant application are indicated by arrows).

A warning

After application of the sealant on the oil pan sump installation must be made within 5 minutes. The drying time of the sealant is 30 minutes, and only after that can be poured into the engine motor oil.

The sealant layer should be only 3 mm in diameter, as in the case of a thick layer of hermetic surplus sealant and fall into the oil strainer can block.


4. You can also apply a coat of sealant on the mating surface of the cylinder block (places of drawing of hermetic are specified by arrows)
5. Install the oil pan to the engine block and secure it with screws, tighten them by hand.
6. Screw in the oil pan mounting bolts to the gearbox housing and tighten them to a torque of 40 Nm.
7. Crosswise tighten the bolts sump 10 Nm, then the same sequence tighten all bolts to 15 Nm.
8. Install additional insulation of the oil pan and the engine and fix its bolt and spacer clips.
9. Fill the engine with engine oil.
10. Establish the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.
