Starting the engine after major repairs

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The engine is installed in the engine compartment of a vehicle, check the engine oil level and coolant.
2. Ensure that all previously removed wires and hoses are in place.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel pump.
4. Remove the spark plug and unplug the electrical connector from the ignition coil. Turn the engine a starter as long as the oil pressure warning lamp goes out, then screw the spark plug and connect the electrical connectors to the ignition coil and the fuel pump.
5. Start the engine. Starting may be longer than usual due to the shutdown of the fuel system.
6. When the engine is idling, check for fuel leaks, coolant and oil. At this stage of the engine may be a smell and smoke from the hot parts of the engine at a burnup of oil spilled on the engine during assembly.
7. Run the engine at idle as long as the coolant is heated, it will be felt through the upper radiator hose. Then turn off the engine. After cooling the engine, check the oil level and coolant.
8. When installing the engine of new pistons, piston rings and bearings of the crankshaft is necessary to make the engine run-in path for the first 800 km. Do not operate the engine with full throttle or under high load at low engine speeds.
9. It is recommended to replace oil and oil filter at the end of the break-in period.
