Year-round oil

In engines of cars it is preferable to use multigrade oils. The advantage of multigrade oils is that they do not have to choose, depending on the time of year. They are manufactured based on liquid Monogrades oil (type 10W). In the hot state, this oil is stabilized by so-called thickener that provides appropriate quality lubricating oil at all temperatures. When using multigrade oil to be applied modern varieties with a wide temperature range of viscosity, for example, 10W-40, 15W-50.

The letter W ("winter" - winter) in designation SAE characterizes suitability of oil for use in the winter.
