Valve Actuator

NOTE
Cylinder heads with cracks between the valve seats or between valve seat insert and the spark plug thread can be used further without reducing service life, if we are talking about small cracks with a maximum width of 0.3 mm, or if it only applies to the first four threads of the socket spark plug.
Cylinder head and camshaft frame separately or replace.
After installing the camshafts can not start the engine for about 30 minutes. The lash shall be deposited (otherwise valves will be in contact with the piston).
After working on the valve mechanism scroll the engine by hand a minimum of two rotations to ensure that none of the valve is not in contact with the piston.
Gaskets and O-rings should be replaced.

Details of the valve mechanism shown in Figure 2.109.

Valve sizes

The size of the valve

Valve sizes listed in the table below and in Fig. 2.110.
Handle intake and exhaust valves is prohibited. It allowed only lapping.

Valve sizes

Checking the valve guides
Insert the new valve into the guide sleeve. The end of the valve stem must overlap the guide sleeve. Due to the different diameter shaft using only intake valve guide sleeve of the intake valve and the exhaust valve guide sleeve exhaust valve.

Determining backlash valve guides
Fig. 2.111. Determining backlash valve guides

Determine play with rocking valve (Fig. 2.111). The maximum tolerance of 0.8 mm.

If you play with rocking exceeded
Replace the cylinder head.
