Check and replacement of hoses passing under the hood (every 4800 km (3000 miles) or once every 3 months)



Hoses as belts tend to fail at the most inopportune moment - in order to avoid the hassles associated with unanticipated delays in transit, produce inspection of the hose as carefully as possible, using the map shown here the most common problems.

Overview

Vacuum hoses

To identify the vacuum hoses, especially used in systems reduce emissions characterized by the use of the color code or the introduction of their walls colored stripes. Different systems require the use of vacuum tubes of varying wall thickness, which depends on the resistance of a collapse under the influence of internal pressure and to elevated temperatures. Fuel hoses

There are special precautions to be taken during the service components of the power system. Work should be done in a well-ventilated area. Approaching the place of work with a lit cigarette, naked flames or unprotected moving the shade is strictly prohibited. Accidentally spilled fuel should be immediately collected using cloth or paper towels, which should then be folded out of the reach of fire or heat source place. On injection models the fuel injection system is under pressure, which must be reset (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust system) before you can begin disconnecting fuel lines.

Check the rubber fuel lines for signs of rubbing or material aging. Particularly check hoses for cracks in the bend and on sections immediately before fittings (such as the fuel filter).

High fuel lines are usually labeled inscription Fluroelastomer, printed directly on the wall of the hose and must be applied for a replacement product. Under no circumstances should you try to set in place the fuel lines do not have the required strength vacuum or water hoses, or transparent plastic tube.

Metal lines
