Airbag

On cars the auxiliary safety system (SRS - Supplemental Restrain System) better known as airbags. The system consists of sensors mounted on the front side of the vehicle, and the airbag control unit and diagnosis.

Airbag mounted in the center of the steering wheel. To send a signal from the control unit to the airbag using a spiral wire (spring), mounted on the steering column. Coiled wire transmits a signal regardless of the position of the steering wheel. The pyrotechnic gas generator converts the electrical signal to a control signal to ignite, resulting decomposed powder, bag inflating airbags.

A warning

Do not disassemble any components supporting security SRS. Dismantling components can bring security system failed.

Do not place the vehicle airbags or other components from another vehicle.

When performing any work on the security system, or holding Electric Car deactivate the security system.

Transport safety air cushion alone bag up.

When transporting, do not place your hands on the airbag.

Avoid getting to the airbag solvents or cleaning agents.

Do not place in the airbag foreign objects that the deployment of the airbag can cause serious injury.

Withdrawal
A warning

Airbag connected terminals orange and blue. Section socket "mum" consists of two separate parts, one for the airbags and one for audio. These parts are connected mechanically to connect to the blue section of the airbag connector and fixed two latches excluding their spontaneous disconnection. Section airbag connector also has fasteners that connect the two parts of the connector, after their separation. This feature eliminates the inadvertent deployment of the airbag. By separating the two sections of the connector, first and foremost necessary to disconnect the connector section orange. Connections must be performed in sequence, return to disengagement.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

2. Remove airbag unit from the steering wheel.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the airbag spiral wire and remove the air bag from the car.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
