1. Start up the engine and turn on the rear window heater. |
2. Connect the negative lead of the voltmeter to the "weight" of the car. |
| 3. In turn, connect a voltmeter probe to the center of each conductive strip rear window defogger. The voltmeter should show pressure about 6 V. |
4. If the voltmeter shows the voltage above 6 V, then current-carrying strip of a heater is broken by connecting a voltmeter between the point and the side of the heater connected to the "masses." |
| 5. If the voltmeter shows the voltage is lower than 6, then the current-carrying strip of a heater is broken by connecting a voltmeter between the point and the side of the heater connected to the positive terminal of the battery. |
