Alternator drive belt
Checking tension
| PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Check the alternator drive belt and pulley for wear, cracks or damage. If necessary, replace the alternator drive belt and / or pulley. |  | 2. The special device measure a tension of the alternator drive belt.
Alternator belt tension:
New belt: 383-461 N
Second hand strap: 304-383 H
Belt tension generator and air conditioner:
New belt: 491-589 N
Second hand strap: 422-491 N | 3. In the absence of a special device, check the belt tension, having pressed on it effort 98 N (10 kg) in a place located on identical removal from pulleys and measure a belt deflection.

Tension adjustment
| PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Loosen the bolts of the generator and an adjusting bolt. |  | 2. Reject the generator from the engine, adjust the tension of the alternator drive belt. | | 3. Tighten all bolts of the generator and recheck belt tension. |

Replacement
| PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. If present, remove the drive belt power steering pump and air conditioning compressor. | | 2. Loosen the bolts of the generator and an adjusting bolt. | | 3. Remove the alternator drive belt. | | 4. Install the new alternator drive belt. | 5. Tighten all bolts of the generator.
Tightening torques
Mounting bolt: 37-52 N ??? m
Adjusting bolt: 19-26 N ??? m | | 6. If available, install a drive belt power steering pump and air conditioning compressor. |
