Repair the generator
Dismantling A warning Replace the jaws soft protective lining, in order to avoid damage to the generator components.
Check rotor
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. An ohmmeter measure resistance between contact rings. If the resistance is not correct, replace the rotor.
Resistance: 3.5-4.5 ohms | | 2. An ohmmeter check up conductivity between the contact ring and the anchor of the rotor. In the presence of conductivity, replace a rotor. | 3. If the surface of the contact ring has a roughness or traces of wear and tear, strip it with sandpaper. |
|
Checking the stator
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. An ohmmeter check up conductivity between the wires of the stator coils. | | 2. In the absence of conductivity, replace the stator. | | 3. An ohmmeter check up conductivity between the stator coils. | 4. In the presence of conductivity, replace the stator. |
|
Check rectifier unit
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. An ohmmeter check up conductivity between the terminals of each diode. | | | Negative (Black) | Positive (red) | Conductivity | E | Pn, P1, P2, P3 | ABOUT | AT | Pn, P1, P2, P3 | X | T | Pn, P1, P2, P3 | X | Pn, P1, P2, P3 | E | X | B | ABOUT | Pn, P2, P3, | T | ABOUT | Pn | T | X |
| 2. If necessary, replace the rectifier. |
|
Check and replacement of brushes
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. If brushes are worn to the maximum allowable length, replace them.
Nominal length: 21.5 mm Maximum permissible length: 8.0 mm | | 2. Measure the force of the spring. The spring force is measured when protrusion of the brush 2 mm. If necessary, replace the spring.
Rated force: 3,1-4,1 N Maximum permissible force: 1,6-2,4 N |
|
Check bearings
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Check bearings for smooth rotation, no jamming and noise during rotation, and play. | | 2. If there are any defects, replace the bearing. |
