Replacing the front brake pads



Brake disc and the front brake pads

1 - the brake hose;
2 - a bolt;
3 - the guide pin and protective cover;
4 - spring;
5 - bleeder valve and the dust cap;
6 - a support;
7 - the holder of a support;

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the front of the car and fix on supports.
2. Remove the front wheels.
3. Remove the two protective covers and remove the two screws and the plug.
4. Remove the caliper.
5. Remove the spring clip.
6. Remove the brake pads.
7. Measure the thickness of the brake pads.

The minimum thickness of the brake pads: 2.0 mm
8. nakidnym wrench, disconnect the brake line, thus collect the leaked brake fluid.
9. Remove the two screws and remove the holder of a support.
10. Measure the brake disc in four places circumferentially.

Minimum brake disk thickness: 18 mm
11. The indicator of hour type measure palpation of a brake disk.

Maximum runout: 0.10 mm

A warning

Excessive run-out can be caused by a free wheel bearing.


12. Remove the two screws and remove the brake disc.
13. Remove rust and step around the perimeter of the brake disc. If necessary, replace the brake disc.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the brake linings for contamination with oil or grease, wear, cracks, and also measure the thickness of the brake linings.

The thickness of the brake pads:
Rating: 11.0 - 11.5 mm
The minimum allowable: 2.0 mm
2. Visually inspect the base of the brake pads for damage, cracks or uneven wear.
3. Measure the thickness of the brake disc.

Brake Disc Thickness:
Par: 20 mm
The minimum permissible 18 mm
4. indicator of hour type measure palpation of a brake disk at a distance of 8-12 mm from the outer edge.

Maximum permissible palpation: 0,08 mm

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install new or refurbished brake disc and secure it with two screws.
2. Install the caliper bracket and secure it with two screws.

Torque: 45-67 N ??? m
3. nakidnym wrench, connect the brake line to the caliper.

Torque: 13-18 N ??? m
4. Install the brake pads into the caliper and install the caliper on the caliper holder.
5. Lubricate and tighten the two screws and plugs and tighten them to torque.

Torque: 26-28 N ??? m
6. Install protective cover.
7. Remove air from the hydraulic circuit brake system.
8. Check for leaks of brake fluid.
