Replacing the water pump

The pump is removed for repair or replacement in the event while it is the noise level that exceeds the normal and which appears in the formation of large radial play of the shaft of the pump, as well as the leakage of the coolant at the bottom of the pump control aperture.
Dismantling the pump - a fairly time-consuming work, so the fault is recommended to replace the pump assembly.
You will need: the keys "10", "12" (face head), flat-blade screwdriver, and all the tools necessary to remove the alternator drive belt and the water pump (see. "Replacing the alternator drive belt and a water pump") , the timing belt (see. "Replacement of the timing belt").
1. Drain the engine cooling system (see. "Replacing the coolant").
2. Remove the alternator drive belt and the water pump (see. "Replacing the alternator drive belt and a water pump").

3. Remove the three screws on the flange of a pulley of the water pump, fixing it by turning a screwdriver as shown in the photograph ...
4. ... and remove the pulley.
5. Remove the timing belt (see. "Replacement of the timing belt").

A WARNING
After removal of the timing belt is prohibited to turn the distribution and crankshafts, pistons so may damage the valves.

11. ... and remove the pump.

NOTE
Compound water pump housing and cylinder is sealed with sealant. What a pad is missing.

12. Clean the sealant from the mating surfaces of the cylinder housing and the water pump.

HELPFUL ADVICE
Do not degrease the mating surfaces of the block and the pump casing prior to application of the sealant, but carefully remove them from the coolant. This will permit easy disassembly compound, if necessary in the future.

13. Install the water pump and all the removed parts in reverse order, dealing with the sealant to the mating surfaces of the water pump and cylinder block.

A WARNING
Fill coolant and start the engine after the installation of the water pump can be no earlier than one hour, the time required for the polymerization of the sealant.

14. Adjust the tension of the timing belt (see. "Adjusting the tension of the timing belt").
15. Fill the coolant and remove air from the cooling system plugs (see. "Replacing the coolant").
