Using a transfer box
| On considered in this manual cars the transfer case is not equipped with a center differential, which is why, in order to avoid rapid deterioration of the gear assembly, should not be included all-wheel drive modes (4H and 4L) when driving on dry roads with good coverage! Use the four-wheel drive mode only in cases of real need - remember that the operation of the car connected with front-wheel drive is associated with an increase in fuel consumption, increased vibration and noise background and accelerated tire wear! The speed of motion in a 4H should not exceed 90 km / h! |
general information The transfer case is designed for the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles of the vehicle. Lever switch between transfer box is placed at the bottom of the center console behind the gear lever (Manual) / selector (AT). On models with Manual transmission lever allows you to select one of four modes of the box: 2H, 4H, (N) and 4L, on models with AT - one of the three: 2H, 4H and 4L. | When activated all-wheel drive (4L or 4H) follow fullness switching - incomplete introduction of gear engagement involves risk losing control of the car! |
On equipped with vacuum freewheel models switch between 2H and 4H can be made directly when driving at low speed (up to 40 km / h), and the need for squeezing the clutch Manual transmission models available. To activate 4L should completely stop the movement, squeeze the foot / parking brake, pull the clutch (models with Manual transmission) / translate the selector lever in position ?N? (model AT), then gently shift lever of a distributing box in position 4L (model AT ) / first position N, and then switch to 4L (models with Manual transmission). The assignment of the gear change mode transfer case | Incomplete transfer box is switched off all-wheel drive vehicle can rotate freely - do not forget to cock the parking brake! |
N - only on models with Manual transmission. In the neutral position both drive transfer case off the bridges. Built in the instrument cluster indicator light (see. Section A combination of devices, meters, warning lights and indicator lights) are also switched off. | In this mode, all-wheel drive car rotate freely - do not forget to cock the parking brake! |
2H - Basic mode transfer case. The drive is only the wheels of the rear axle. The indicator light is turned off. 4H - The drive wheel is carried out on both bridges. The indicator light is illuminated. This mode is designed for driving on the roads with a slippery or loose surface (snow, mud, sand) as well as the loss of traction when driving in 2H mode. | The speed of motion in a 4H should not exceed 90 km / h! |
4L - All four wheel drive, gear transfer case switched to the downshift. The indicator light is on. Provides maximum traction and maximum pulling power. It is recommended that, if necessary, to get through the land, covered with deep snow / mud / sand, as well as on particularly steep climbs / descents and tyazhelogruzhenyh towing trailers. Mode is not designed for prolonged use.
