Removing and installing transfer case
 | Depending on the specifics of the alleged transfer case maintenance procedures can be removed in gathering with transmission and individually. Description of the procedures for removing the transfer case assembly with a transmission provided in chapter five-speed manual gearbox shift and automatic transmission. |
| - Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
- Remove Manual transmission gear lever / selector AT (see chap. A five-speed manual gear box or an automatic transmission respectively) and the transfer case (see. Section Removal and installation of the lever of switching of modes of a distributing box).
- Drain the oil from the transfer case (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
- Remove the transmission shafts (see. Section Removal, service and installation of drive shafts).
 | To avoid unbalance the propeller shaft spline coupling disconnects not its sections! |
- Disconnect electroconducting from the gauge-switch signal indicator 4WD.
- Disconnect electroconducting from VSS.
- To prevent damage to the power train supports prop up transmission trolley jack.
- Remove the screws (two in support and two chassis) and remove lateral support suspension transfer case.
- Remove the eight mounting bolts chassis, plus four screws on the lower leg and remove the crossmember.
- Support the transfer case trolley jack.
- 10 Remove the fixing bolts and gently obstukivaya mating surface mallet, separate transfer case from the drivetrain.
- Lower the transfer case, remove it from under the car and move to the bench.
- Installation is in the reverse order - Ensure compliance with the Specifications of the Head Transmission Line to the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners. Pay special attention to the correct connection of drive shafts (track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of the landing labels).
- Finally, fill in the box required amount of fresh oil grades required, adjust it properly level (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
