PERFORMANCE ORDER

With the help of a special device, lock the flywheel from turning, and then set the tool to center the clutch disc.

Assembling the clutch is heavy, - try not to let it fall when you release the last bolt.

If necessary, remove the eight fixing screws and remove the handwheel (see chap. Engine).

To remove a pin from the crankshaft guide bearing use a hammer with sliding brisk.

Inspect the working surface of the pressure plate for scoring, cracks and signs of overheating, - slight defects can be eliminated using a fine-grained sandpaper. Check for bent or broken off if the petals of the diaphragm spring. If necessary, replace the basket.
Assess the friction linings and the clutch disc rivets attaching them. Minor defects can also be removed using fine sandpaper. If any signs of weakening landing rivets, as well as in the case of heavy contamination of the disk surface to be replaced on a mandatory basis.

With Columbus appreciate the degree of wear of the friction pads, - the value of penetration rivet heads should be at least 0.3 mm.

With plunger dial gauge (DTI) to determine the value of the cross and radial play of the disc. If the measurements exceed the maximum permissible value (see. Specifications of the Head Transmission Line), replace the drive.

Slight traces of rust can be removed by polishing hard felt.

Installation is the reverse order of disassembly of components - before boarding the receptacle pins crankshaft guide bearing should be lubricated with lithium grease (NGLI ?�� 2), - pressing of the bearing is carried out using a suitable mandrel. Slots hub drive plate lubricated with grease type molybdenum-containing organic Mori White TA No.2, centering is made by means of a special device. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the specification of the Head Transmission Line to the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners. Finally, do not forget to remove the centering device and lock the handwheel.

Manually check up freedom of rotation of the bearing in both directions, evaluate the degree of wear of working surfaces that come into contact with the fork and the clutch pressure plate diaphragm spring. Replace defective bearings.

Setting

Grease the bearing surfaces of the organic molybdenum-containing lubricant such as Mori White TA No.2, then plant it on the regular place in the dome of the clutch and make sure that freedom of rotation.
