Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Post the car off the ground.
  2. Remove the front wheels.
  3. Loosen the nut anti-roll bar to the corresponding lower control arm (see. Section Removal, check of a condition of components and installation of anti-roll bar).
  1. Release nut (1) of the axial bolts fork rack assembly to the lower control arm.
  1. Remove the axle bolt plug.
  1. Release the tightening bolts and remove the plug (1) of the lower support rack assembly.
  1. Open the hood and through the opening in the wheel arch mudguard release the three nuts rack assembly to the supporting unit on the frame.
  1. Remove the rack-mount assembly of the wheel arch.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Clamp the rack in a vice with soft sponges and a few turns of the piston rod nut release the damper - do not remove the nut completely.
  1. Clamp the lower base of the rack assembly in a vice with soft sponges, and with the help of a special device compress the coil spring.
  1. Remove the piston rod nut and disassemble the stand.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Hold the lower part of the shock absorber in a vice with soft sponges and manually check the smoothness and uniformity of the shock absorber piston stroke in both directions.
  1. Rocking piston rod at least three times, make sure that there are no signs of leaks.
  2. Visually estimate a condition of the helical spring.
  3. Check for damage to the upper plate and lower spring seat, also appreciate the state of the upper and lower rubber isolators.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Operating in reverse order of disassembly, replace the components of the rack assembly, - track correctness of landing and - where needed - I engage all the elements.
  2. Compress coil spring and loosely screw the nut of the piston rod.
  3. Hold rack-mount assembly in a vise with soft jaws and tighten the piston rod nut with demanded effort (37 ÷ 46 Nm).

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation is the reverse order of the dismantling of the components - track compliance Specifications Chapter Suspension and steering the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners.

Final tightening mounting rack is made after lowering the car to the ground.

  1. Finally, drive away the car in car-care center workshop to check and adjust the alignment of the front wheels (see. Section Check and adjustment of corners of installation of forward wheels).
