Removal and installation of the vacuum pump



The vacuum pump generates low pressure required to operate the brake booster.

The vacuum pump is located on the back side of the generator. He is driven by a shaft of the generator through the clutch disc.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the vacuum line, after loosening the clamp.
  2. Unscrew the feed oil line. Disconnect the return pipe by loosening the pre-clamp.
  1. Unscrew the vacuum pump bolts and remove the pump seal round section.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the seal of circular cross section of the vacuum pump for damage and replace if necessary.
  2. Set the vacuum pump with the seal and tighten the bolts with a force of 7 Nm.
  3. Pour into a vacuum pump slightly opening the engine oil.
  4. Fit and secure the return pipe clamp.
  5. Install and tighten the oil line feed.
  6. Install the vacuum hose and secure the clamp.
