Replacing the engine oil
To replace the engine oil need the following tools: - Osmotrovye tank or a hydraulic car jack with dummies goats;
- A set of interchangeable sockets to remove the cover of the oil filter and oil drain plugs;
- Oil pan (if the oil is not pumped) with a capacity of at least 8 liters of oil. The required wear parts: - In the event that oil is not pumped out: aluminum or copper sealing ring for oil drain plugs (sometimes supplied with oil filter);
- Filter cartridge oil filter. Depending on the engine fill from 5.8 to 7.5 liters of engine oil. For diesel, respectively, from 6 to 7 liters. Use only motor oil recommended by Mercedes.
The amount of oil to be replaced

The oil should be replaced once a year. If during this period of time the motor vehicle runs more than 15 000 km, the oil should be changed after 15 000 km of run. At the same time the filter cartridge is replaced. In severe operating conditions, such as travel for short distances, relatively frequent cold start and very dusty road conditions, change the oil and oil filter should be over shorter periods of time.
In the gasoline engine motor oil can be pumped at a petrol station with a probe through the oil level pipe. Do not dispose of spent a little uncontrollably and do not mix it with household waste, for thereby causing irreparable damage to the environment, such as pollution of groundwater.
