The traction relay

At malfunction of the traction relay in the starter gear is not attracted to the flywheel ring gear. Because of this, the starter motor can rotate the motor shaft. This defect is more common than goes down to the engine starter.

Checking the established state

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn off the transmission, set the gear lever to the neutral position.
2. Briefly shunt auxiliary cable to the starter terminal 30 (thick plus) and terminal 50 (thin wire to the ignition key switch, and the instrument), the starter motor gear must quickly move forward and activate the starter. If not, remove and replace the starter relay.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the starter and check it again in the removed position using the battery. As the supply line to the terminal 50 is suitable starter cord for connecting to the auxiliary starter (outside the car) battery. If the gear is moving rapidly forward, without launching a starter starter repair garage.
2. If the gear does not move forward quickly, remove and replace the traction relay.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Seal the seam separation (F) suitable sealing material.
2. Hang the magnetic switch on the starter lever to the fork, and then screw the magnetic switch.
3. Screw the wire going to the traction relay.
4. Recheck the starter, as described above.
5. Install the starter.
