Starter

The internal combustion engine starts small electric motor - starter. To generally be able to start the engine, the starter must be accelerated to a speed of 300 rev / min. This is possible only if the starter works normally, but the battery is sufficiently charged.

The starter consists of a drive housing, housing the poles and the collector housing. The housing and pole collector housing mounted on the bearings and the anchor reservoir and the carbon brush holder. The brush holder are carbon brushes, which is slowly but steadily deteriorate. At high wear of the carbon brushes starter can no longer operate normally.

In the front drive housing mounted gear drive. When the ignition is switched on after the starter receives a voltage using magnetic switch mounted on the starter housing, the gear is shifted down the steep thread to the gear rim of the flywheel. Once the gear reaches the limiter on the lead screw, she was force-locking connected to the flywheel. Now the starter motor can be set to the desired speed of the launcher. If the motor vehicle takes acceleration, gear motor is accelerated, thus while it rotates faster than an engine starter and out of engagement, whereby a compound is eliminated with the gear of the internal combustion engine. So how to start the engine requires a high current consumption, within the limits of maintenance should pay attention to flawless wiring. Clean correlated wiring and grease them antacid pole grease.

Withdrawal

1. The wire terminals 30
2. Wire terminals 50
3. Bolts
4, 6. Holder
5. The holder (only for petrol engines)
7. Spring-cage / Holder
M1. Starter

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (-) wire connecting it to the pole with the car body.
A warning

Disconnect the wire from the battery only when the ignition is switched off, because otherwise it may be damaged by the control device of the fuel injection. Before disconnecting the wires from the battery terminals should also read the recommendations in the relevant section.

2. Lift the car in front. If there is, remove the bottom cover of the engine compartment.
3. Disconnect the 30 (1) and terminal 50 (2) on the traction relay.
4. Remove the bracket from 4 to 7 for fixing wires. On vehicles with diesel engine bracket (5) to secure wire missing.
5. 6-cylinder engine with an automatic transmission: unscrew the frame rear bearing of the motor shaft.
6. Remove the bolts on the flange of the starter (3).
7. Pull down the starter. At 6-cylinder pre-steering wheel slightly, turn to the left.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Set the starter and tighten the bolts to 40 Nm At 6-cylinder engine, replace the steering gear to drive straight.
2. Screw the wire to the terminal 30 to a torque of 15 Nm to the terminal with a torque of 50 Nm 5
3. Install the brackets 4 to 7 for fixing wire.
4. Install the bottom cover of the engine compartment.
5. Connect the terminal of the battery ground cable (-). Set the clock, as well as enter the anti-theft code for the radio.
