What creaks?

One of the most important indicators of a comfortable car - the level of acoustic noise inside the cabin. It is known that riding a brand new, fresh off the assembly line, the cars - if they are not serious defects - can be fun at first. But how long is this idyll? Some time later the vehicle, in the figurative expression of readers turns into a rattle. Sometimes - quite rapidly, to 15 to 20 thousand kilometers. In other words, active, driving many a motorist can face these sad facts, "skated" and the year.

The car is getting old fast. Decays more quickly filling its interior - from the mechanisms of the seats, their upholstery, trim elements and door-to-ceiling various keys, buttons, plastic levers, handles. All this, if you use the formal terminology wear: driving a car, even for a pretty good road begins accompanied by extraneous noise. Motorist hear squeaks, knocks, and even grunt. What is the root cause of the sad metamorphosis? I think that the possibility of degeneration of the car into a mobile noise band in the first place is determined by the culture of its construction - what is called the school. But school, as we all know, are different.

At the same time, the transition of the car in this condition may accelerate (decelerate) the actions of the owner, and they, the owners, are different too! One protects the machine, watching her every whim, another refers to it as an enemy, was captured.

But back to the school construction. Removing an old door trim - "Saab", for example - you'll see all sorts of levers, rods, cables, etc. Details flimsy, and they secured "a" or "very easy"! It seems that the designer took care of that mechanics are not rattled on the day of sale of the vehicle.

One of the most common causes of abnormal noise in the cabin - just jerking parts because of their vibration wear. The mobile nodes are added to the deterioration of the relative movement of parts.

Why, for instance, there is "itching" a decorative panel, if it is tight, fixedly connected with the base body or door? In fact, and the panel and base to vibrate, and is often - in different ways. Hence, their contact is vibrating movement, the material wears out. Next - a vicious circle: vibro more - wear a big, strong noise.

Evidence of vibration wear some plastic parts can be characteristic of dust in places of contact, the following mutual attrition. Dispose of vibro - disappear wear.

Vibratory movement of parts such as the inner decorative panel doors, often can be reduced to a minimum by means of additional fasteners, such as self-tapping screws. Sometimes, doing differently: between the panel and the door gasket set of the foam, foam rubber, latex - materials, good vibration damping.

How to deal with it, we have said. There is another way, a proven seasoned motorists: the panel on the inside of her hand paste extra layer of sound insulation - even an old blanket. The matter-consuming, but who decided on it will be rewarded knocks jammed almost completely.

Generally, when you have to fight with the noise caused by the vibration of a panel, you should not treat this as a case of deliberately simple, easy, especially if rigid panel vibration damped nothing (ie are not extinguished). There is even further strengthening of its self-tapping screws, we can not achieve the desired results, - ceasing "itch" at the same speed, the panel may submit more nasty voice to another. The use of soft gaskets usually have a positive effect.

So many times mentioning the word "vibration", is not a sin to say about what exactly is at stake. Unfortunately, the various parts of the cabin, with different sizes, weight, hardness, etc., and have a corresponding "favorite" frequency vibration, for which willingly respond, "itching", tapping, rustling, etc. Themselves vibration causes the operation of the engine, gearbox, transmission, rotating wheels, finally, bumps in the road. The frequency spectrum is so rich that any item received illegal freedom to vibrate, "their" frequency will certainly find.

This freedom has to somehow limit. Vibrate any switch? Pasted to it a thin strip of foam or draw in an additional spring. Rod rattles inside the door? Propped her pillow from the same foam ... or lightly tie a rubber band to the frame of the door.

Looking under the dashboard, you will see a picture of total chaos: the harnesses and the individual wires, numerous electrical connectors, cables. Next, switches. Here is a collection of orphan bolt-gaechek caught here even in the assembly of the car. All these rattles, rattles, especially in winter, when the wiring harness from the cold hard as a stick, and just as she hit the detail design. That's why many motorists literally packed space under the instrument panel foam rubber or latex.

By the way, striking results gives additional insulation of the engine compartment and at the same time the space under the dashboard. Do it with a piece of foam rubber, glued to cardboard, which lay on the pedal up to the edge of the "Torpedo". It is clear that such a "silencer" shall be securely fastened and does not interfere with management.

The noise inside the vehicle is largely due to the properties of the materials used. Unfortunately, often made of plastic parts, not resistant to wear, fragile, etc. Naturally, the "loosening" node collected from them, may occur very soon.

If the items are working in conditions at least slightly elevated temperatures, it is important that it does not warp, does not shrink. In fact, we see this process at any of our car.

A special kind of noise - creaks. Reasons squeak can be very different, but all of them combined the root cause - the movement of one part relative to the other in the pressed state and the work of the forces of friction. Why, for example, do not grind the edge of the instrument panel when the door is closed tightly pressed to her? The whole body of the irregularities of the road "breathes", mutually moving parts, causing a creak. He disappears, if you can eliminate the "illegal" contact. Most often, when it loosen the fixing screws and shift the dashboard, as needed.

Spring seat in contact with the frame are "protivoskripnoe" coating. But it is quite fragile layer, it wears out. And you - the creak. Fix it can be different. One puts on a spring plastic tube, the other pulls the adhesive tape, the third lubricating graphite lubricant. All methods rather frivolous - these measures are enough long.

The creaking in the joints it is best removed using a batch graphite lubricant.

Another kind of squeak - a very unpleasant sound that occurs when you turn on the heater fan, when the motor shaft rotates in the stator sleeves without lubrication. There is only one way out - the engine disassembly, cleaning of dirt and grease replenishment.

As you can see, getting rid of the creaking of two ways - either to eliminate the relative movement firmly pressed parts or lubricate friction parts.
