PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Illustrative material for checking the base position of the balancing shaft series engines 628 is shown in the illustrations, which include all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the cylinder head cover.
  3. Remove assemblage of the electric fan cooling system (see chap. System of cooling, heating and air conditioner).
  4. Remove bottom bolt (3a) of the cover (3), - to provide access to a bolt of a cranked shaft in a normal direction.
  5. Give the first cylinder to TDC.
  6. Remove the upper bolt (3b) and remove the cover (3).
  7. Remove the centrifuge.
  8. Make sure that the tensioner (9) provides the required tensile force of the gas distribution chain.
  9. Replace the housing cover (3) and secure it with the top bolt (3b).
  10. Rotate the crankshaft two full turns in the normal direction, again citing the first cylinder to TDC.
  11. Again, remove the cover (3).
  12. Make sure all the basic setting the camshaft (see. Section Setting up the base camshaft).
  13. Check the basic setting of the balancing shaft, the spring (5) which should occupy the position shown in the picture, and marking (6) on the sprocket (7) to be slightly offset from the position of "12 hours".
  14. Operating in reverse order of disassembly, install starred components into place.
