Removing and installing rear end cover, replace the crankshaft rear oil seal



Details of installation of the rear end cap / engine crankshaft oil seal Series 612


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of the rear end cap / crankshaft rear oil seal on the 612 series engines are shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Remove flywheel / drive plate (1) (see. Section Removal and installation of a flywheel / drive disc).
  3. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the end cap (2) complete with crankshaft rear oil seal - to hook the cover in places indicated by the arrows, try not to damage the seal of the oil pan.
  4. Drain the engine oil.
  5. Loosen the screws of the drain pan and the last remnants of oil.
  6. Carefully smooth out interfaced surfaces.
  7. Replace the cover with her pressed into the gland.

If the gasket (3) is damaged, the cover must be replaced.

  1. Install a back sealing ring of the crankshaft (5) (clutch assembly (4)).
  2. Install the flywheel / drive plate.
  3. Tighten the pan.
  4. Fill the engine with fresh oil.
  5. Start the engine and check for any signs of leaks.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of the rear end cap / crankshaft rear oil seal on the 628 series engines are shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the transmission (see chap. Automatically processed transmission).
  3. With the help of a special device (7), lock the ring gear of the drive disk.
  4. Remove the screws (6) and remove the drive disc (4) (see. Section Removal and installation of a flywheel / drive disc).
  5. Drain the engine oil (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
  6. Remove the bolts (2) and remove the end cap (1), gently lift it using a flathead screwdriver in the area of installation guides.
  7. Remove the old seal (3)
  8. Carefully smooth out interfaced surfaces and planting on the sealant, replace the cover.
  9. Install a new oil seal (3).
  10. Deytsvuya in the reverse order of disassembly, replace the components acting in film.
  11. Start the engine and check for any signs of leaks.
