Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the trim panel of the cylinder head cover.
  2. Remove the injectors (Y76).
  3. Remove the cylinder head cover (12).
  4. While cranking the engine in the normal direction, bring the engine to TDC position of first cylinder, - the marks on the bodies of the camshafts and the bearing caps should be aligned (arrow).
  5. Lock the intake camshaft (2) by inserting the special rod (3) through the bearing cap and entering it in the hole (A) of the driving gear (5).
  6. Remove the chain tensioner (10) (see. Section Removal and installation of components of timing).
  7. Remove the front cylinder head cover (see. Section Removal and installation of covers of timing).
  8. Remove the chain guide (see. Section Removal and installation of components of timing).
  9. Mark position of chain sprocket timing (6).
  10. Otboltite asterisk (6) and remove it from the stud exhaust camshaft (1).
  11. The properly labeled, remove the camshaft bearing caps (8).
  12. Carefully remove the camshafts (1 and 2) from the cylinder head.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install the camshafts on the regular places in the cylinder head, - Ensure compliance with the basic installation (see. Section Setting up the base camshaft).
  2. Bring the engine to a position 30 ?� before top dead center of the piston of the first cylinder.
  3. Check with applied during dismantling marks, replace the bearing cap (8).
  4. Lock inlet camshaft (2) of the rod (3).
  5. Put the drive sprocket (6) to the pin of the exhaust camshaft (1).
  6. Install the chain tensioner (10).
  7. Make sure to comply with the requirements of the basic installation of camshafts (see. Section Setting up the base camshaft).
  8. Install the cylinder head cover (12).
  9. Clean and install the injector (Y76) (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
  10. Install the trim panel of the cylinder head cover.
  11. Start the engine and check for any signs of leaks.
  12. Finally, clean the memory module on-board self-test (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

End caps of camshafts

Details of installation of the end caps of camshafts diesel engines series 612 and 628


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of the end caps of camshafts shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the camshafts (1 and 2) (see. Above).
  3. Having hooked a suitable screwdriver, remove the cover (3) from the end of the rear trunnion camshaft, - try not to damage the wall of the receiving hole.
  4. Clean and degrease the slot for the installation of the cap.
  5. Using a suitable mandrel, Put in a new shaft journal end cap to the desired depth.

Excessively deep planting cover can cause blocking oil supply!

  1. Install the camshafts in the cylinder head (see. Above).

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the diffuser.
  2. Disconnect the inlet hose from the charge air path of the cylinder head and turbocharger and push it aside.
  3. Uncover injectors.
  4. Remove the injectors (Y76).
  5. Remove the cover (2) corresponding to the cylinder head.
  6. Remove the bypass tract charge air hose.
  7. Remove the vacuum pump (4).
  8. Provernuv the crankshaft in the normal direction, bring the engine to TDC position of first cylinder, - the marks on the bodies of the camshafts and caps should be aligned.
  9. Lock intake camshaft (6) by inserting the rod (7) through the first bearing cap and tucking it into the hole (A) in the drive gear (8).
  10. When the head on the right, through a window in the front cover, plant holder on the camshaft drive sprocket (10). The left head of a special holder is attached to the cylinder head, is seated on the drive sprocket (10) and the locking bolt (14) the cylinder head cover.
  11. Separate drive sprocket (10) of the exhaust camshaft journal (12).
  12. Remove the lid (13), camshaft bearings (6 and 12), and remove the last of the cylinder head, - the asterisk leave fixed in the holder.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Place the camshafts to their regular places in the cylinder head, - Ensure compliance with the basic installation (see. Section Setting up the base camshaft).
  2. Align the camshafts on the thrust bearing (arrow).
  3. With the rod (7) to lock the intake camshaft (6).
  4. Attach the sprocket (10) to the pin of the exhaust camshaft (12).
  5. Make sure to comply with the requirements of a basic installation (see. Section Removal and installation of components of timing).
  6. The further installation is made in the reverse order of dismantle of components.
  7. Start the engine and check for any signs of leaks.
  8. Finally, clean the memory module on-board self-test (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

End caps of camshafts

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  2. Remove the camshafts (1 and 2) (see. Above).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of the installation bed camshaft engine series 628 shown in the illustrations, which include all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the diffuser.
  3. Remove camshafts (3a and 3b) (See above.).
  4. Secure in their landing nests equipped hydrojacks pushers (5) valves.

Alternatively, the pushers can be extracted from the bed roll, but should not be used for this purpose magnet - magnetization pushers fraught with accumulation of metal sawdust on them!

  1. Remove the bed camshaft (10).
  2. Installation is in the reverse order.
  3. Start the engine and check for any signs of leaks.
  4. Finally, clean the memory module on-board self-test (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
