A simple check and adjustment

Force the belt tension of the steering pump

A correct control of the belt tension gives a guarantee that the latter will not slip despite the fact that at the same time does not create undue loads on the belt itself, and the pump bearings.

Measuring the belt force is produced directly in the middle portion thereof between the crankshaft pulley and the steering pump. Firmly press the belt at the point indicated thumb amount of deflection must comply with regulatory requirements.

Removal of air from hydraulic system (pumping)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Make sure that the tank is filled with hydraulic fluid of the required grade (see. Table sizes and adjustments in the end of this manual).
  2. Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props.
  3. Do not start the engine a few times to quickly turn the steering wheel from left to right from stop to stop. Do not hold the wheel in extreme positions for more than fifteen seconds.
  4. Check the fluid level in the reservoir. If necessary, make topping.
  5. If the fluid in the reservoir of the steering pump is saturated with air (aerated) or holds increased background noise pump repeat the procedures described in the preceding two paragraphs.

Removing and installing hydraulic lines connection pump system with steering hydrostrengthening

After the procedures, can cause the air entering the path, the hydraulic system should be bled (see. Initial test).

The return hydraulic line

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The return line is formed as a conventional steel tube connected to the high pressure hoses by means of clamps. To replace the hose, loosen the fixing clamps, then pull off the hose to the choke of the tube.
  2. When installing new hoses their ends should be lubricated inside transmission fluid (ATF).
  3. The return line is connected to the steering mechanism through the choke connector on the hollow bolt. Before proceeding to the connection component connector replace copper sealing washers.

Pressurized hydraulic line

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The pressure line is a whole segment of the tube with her strained hoses. In case of leaks the whole line must be replaced.
  2. Give a hollow bolt choke connector on the steering pump and disconnect the line from the last.
  3. Give bracket bolts near the crankshaft pulley and the steering mechanism. Release the line of the brackets.
  4. Give a hollow bolt choke connector on the steering box and remove the line from the last.
  5. Remove the line from the vehicle.

Installation is in the reverse order.

Before docking connector choke replace copper sealing washers.
