PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Quick-drying paint mark the position of the steering shaft relative to the flexible coupling. Give the top coupling bolt coupling.
  3. Remove the steering wheel.
  4. On models with tilt column lower it to the lower position.
  5. Give the screws that secure the column cover. Remove the covers aside, removing them from the stalk and the combined ignition.

On models with conventional column mounting bolts should be given to the top of the column to the dashboard, and then the column should be slightly lower for the removal of the upper housing.

  1. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the ignition and combined stalk and the ignition switch (back of hand).
  2. Give the lower nut cover holes that the lower part of the column is fixed to the bulkhead of the engine compartment.
  3. Remove the steering column of the vehicle.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Achieve combination caused during the dismantling of the steering shaft marks in relation to the flexible coupling and make sure that the coupling bolt coupling got into the back groove of the steering shaft. Tighten the coupling bolt - at this stage only by hand.
  2. Install the upper bracket bolts / bracket tilt steering column and screw the cap nut holes. Make sure the steering column is established without internal tension. Tighten the nut with a force of 9 ÷ 14 Nm and the bracket bolts with effort 13 ÷ 18 Nm.
  3. Tighten the coupling bolt of a flexible coupling with a force of 39 ÷ 49 Nm.
  4. Poddomkratte front of the vehicle and make sure that the steering wheel turns freely from stop to stop in both directions without jerks and jamming points.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the steering column.
  2. Loosen the screws fixing the clamp, press down and turn the combined steering column switch. Remove the switch from the steering column.
  3. Remove the plastic shroud, give the bracket bolts cover the holes, remove the washer and remove the bracket cover holes from the steering column.
  4. By means of special pliers, remove the retaining ring and washers from the top of the steering shaft. Remove the shaft from the column.
  5. On models with tilt adjustment column (see. Accompanying illustration), loosen the bolt bracket tilt and special nut. Remove the bracket with tilt column. Fold the ingredients in order of bracket removal.
1 - combined stalk switch
2 - an arm of the tilt column
3 - ignition
4 - Cover the holes
5 - the steering shaft
  1. If necessary, remove the ignition (see. Accompanying illustration), using a center punch and hammer to Give fixing bolts shear-type.
1 - the ignition key
2 - the lock cylinder assembly
3 - the ignition switch
4 - the screw
5 - shear bolts

Cleaning and checking the status of components

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Using a solvent, remove the metal components of oil.

Do not wash the assembly in a solvent of the combined ignition and stalk, as well as any type of sealed bearings - it is fraught with irreversible yield of these components fail.

  1. Check the steering shaft for signs of wear, deformation and other damages. Particular attention is paid to the state Universal (PTO) of the hinge and equipped with slots sites.
  2. Check the condition of retaining rings and spring clips. Worn, damaged or stretched, replace components.
  3. Check up freedom of rotation of the lower bearing.
  4. On tilting column type, check for signs of wear and damage components of the tilt adjustment mechanism.
  5. Check cover plate for signs of wear, deformation and other damages.
  6. Replace all the identified defective components.

Assembly

The components of the steering column

1 - a lock ring
2 - washers
3 - the steering shaft
4 - combined stalk switch
5 - ignition
6 - the handle
7 - column
8 - a protective cover
9 - bandages
10 - a bolt
11 - a sealing ring
12 - Cover the holes
13 - special bolt
14 - Clips
15 - an arm slope

Installation is the reverse order of removal.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before assembly, lubricate the multi-purpose grease the upper and lower steering shaft bearings, and all moving parts of the mechanism tilt adjustment column position (if applicable).
  2. Make sure that the upper steering shaft lock ring located under the upper bearing was rotated rounded side of the e bearing.
  3. When installing the bracket cover opening track correctness accommodation shayb.Zatyanite axial bolts to 16 ÷ 21 Nm.
  4. On models with the type of column tilting, tighten the tilt bracket bolt so that the column moves smoothly when you release the lever and tilt at the same time remained motionless on lock lever.
  5. Install the column into the vehicle.
