Check condition of protective covers of power shafts



Every year or every 20,000 km

Protective covers of power shafts are very important elements, ie. A. They protect the constant velocity joints (CV joints) from falling on them dirt, water and other foreign objects that cause damage. Outside contamination of protective covers oils and greases can cause premature failure of the material covers, it is recommended to periodically wash the covers with soap and water.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Inspect the covers for breaks and cracks and loose clamps. In the event of signs of cracks or leaks grease cover must be replaced.
  1. Gently palpate protective covers of power shafts, checking for cracks.
