The main brake cylinder - removal, dismantling and installation



1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Place a drip pan or rags podstelil.
3. Release the choke tubes on the master cylinder (see photo).
4. Remove the nuts of the cylinder to the vacuum amplifier.
5. Carefully remove the cylinder from the stud bolts, remove the fitting and plug the holes. Remove the cylinder.
6. Turn off the tube hydraulic drive.

Dismantling
7. Prepare a master cylinder repair kit.

Attention!
The main consideration tsilintsre car repair kits used Nabco and Tokico, which are not interchangeable. So first get an appropriate repair kit.

8. Clean and drain the fluid cylinder.
9. Remove the cap, remove the lock washer (if provided, the first piston and spring (see photo).
10. Remove the secondary piston, cylinder knocking on the wooden block.
11. Check the condition of the cylinder. If you find scratches or painted sections replace the cylinder

12. Dismantle the secondary piston (primary molded).
13. Wash out all details in alcohol or brake fluid.
14. remove the tank only when necessary.
15. Put on the piston seals, having tracked correctness of their orientation.
16. Dip parts in the brake fluid.
17. Collect all the items in the order of the previous installation, bend the tabs on the cap (photo) and replace the cylinder. If the cap is damaged, replace it.
Setting
18. Before installing it is recommended to fill the cylinder with fluid and remove air. This measure will reduce the duration of pumping the brakes.
19. Close the screw plugs hole fitting, secure the cylinder and the cylinder filled with liquid reservoir.
20. Remove one of the caps, press pistons, tighten the cap and release the pistons.

21. Repeat this procedure for each of the holes 3-4 times.
22. Instead of plugs you can close one of the holes with your finger. Release your finger after clicking on the pistons after leakage of liquid, cover the hole with your finger and release the pistons. After a few seconds, remove your finger.
Repeat the procedure and follow the same steps on the other hole.
23. After the holes of the liquid begins to flow only screw caps.
24. Add a liquid in a tank to the upper division and tighten the plug.
25. Install the cylinder in reverse order and bleed the brakes.
