CAUSE | SOLUTION |
When you turn on the ignition control lamp of pressure of oil |
Faulty oil pressure switch | With the ignition, disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor and connect it with a mass of the vehicle. If it lights up the oil pressure warning lamp means that the oil pressure sensor is faulty and must be replaced |
Open circuit in the oil pressure sensor or oxidized contacts | Check the electrical circuit oil pressure and condition |
Faulty oil pressure warning lamp | Replace the oil pressure warning lamp |
After starting the engine oil pressure warning lamp does not go out |
Too high engine oil temperature | With increasing engine speed oil pressure warning lamp should go out |
Oil pressure warning lamp does not go out when the engine speed increases or illuminates during engine operation |
Too low oil pressure | Check the engine oil level and, if necessary, finish it to norm. Check the oil pressure |
Short to Ground wires from the oil pressure sensor | Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector and isolate it. Turn on the ignition. If the oil pressure warning lamp lights up, check the circuit oil pressure sensor |
Faulty oil pressure switch | Replace the oil pressure sensor |
Low oil pressure at all engine speeds |
The engine oil level in the engine is below normal | Bring the engine oil level in the engine to normal |
Strainer clogged or has a hole in the tube oil receiver | Remove the oil pan and clean the strainer or replace the oil receiver pipe |
Increased clearance in the bearings of the crankshaft | Check the condition of the crankshaft bearing and, if necessary, replace them |
Faulty oil pump | Remove the oil pump and check its condition and, if necessary, replace |
Reduced oil pressure at low engine speeds |
Oil pump relief valve is in the open position permanently | Remove the relief valve and check its condition |
Larger oil pressure at engine speeds over 2000 rev / min |
Do not open the bypass valve | Remove the relief valve and check its condition |
